Marshall Bruce Mathers III was born on October 17, 1972 and became known as Eminem in the music industry. He is also often referred to as Slim Shady. Dr Dre is the one who takes credit for discovering Eminem. His discography includes titles like The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, Encore, Hiatus, and the soon to be released King Mathers in 2008. His lyrics and rapping style has set him apart from other artists and amazingly enough in an African American dominated industry, Eminem has managed to sell over 70 million albums worldwide. He even starred in the movie 8 Mile in 2002 which was supposed to be an autobiography of his life growing up near Detroit. His personal life has kept Slim Shady in the spotlite just as much as his music with runins with police due to his wife, Kim Mathers. Kim and Marshall have a daughter named Hailie who Eminem loves dearly. He has won many awards for his music and recently has come out of the woodwork to do interviews on his new release.
