The original High School Musical movie was released on the Disney Channel as well and did surprisingly well. The cast is back with Sharpay Evans, Troy Bolton, Gabriella Montez, Ryan Evans, and all the others. Of course the real names of the actors are Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay), Zac Efron (Troy), and Vanessa Anne Hudgens (Gabriella Montez). My daughter rushed out to buy the High School Musical 2 CD the day the movie was out. She loves the music soundtrack and now can't wait for the DVD to be released on December 11, 2007.
