Vince Carter was born January 26, 1977 in Daytona Beach, Florida. His basketball career really started at the University of North Carolina where he shined as a player and became a dunking machine. He was drafted by the Warriors who traded him to the Toronto Raptors where he was amazing as a youngster winning dunk contests and putting on highlight shows for the crowds each and every night. Eventually he was traded to the New Jersey Nets and has played with Jason Kidd for years. Vince has played on multiple all-star teams and even won the Gold medal at the Olympics. Two of his nicknames are "Vinsanity" and "Half-Man, Half-Amazing". Perhaps he will get a shot at the NBA Title, but those days are fading fast as Jason Kidd was just traded to the Dallas Mavericks and now Vince will have to lead the Nets on his own.
